Singer, Davido, responds to criticism for discontinuing plans to aid a female hawker, initially assisted by Brain Jotter but later revealed as a male scammer posing as a woman.
Previously, popular skit maker Brain Jotter discovered a seemingly disabled 'female' hawker by the roadside, losing some fingers with stunted arms. Touched by her plight, Brain Jotter gifted her 400 thousand naira.
Davido, upon seeing the video, pledged to help her since she hails from Osun state, where his uncle is a governor.
Unexpectedly, it was revealed that the 'female' hawker is actually a man named Sultan from Osogbo, repeatedly helped off the street but returning to the roadside. Davido, upon learning this, called for a halt on plans to assist the hawker/scammer, expressing frustration on social media.
