Kenyan Chef Maliha Mohammed, on a quest to break the record for the longest cooking marathon, faced a setback due to a medical emergency during her attempt that began on November 15. Her goal was to surpass the current Guinness World record of 119 hours, 57 minutes, and 16 seconds held by Alan Fisher of Ireland.

After crossing the 111-hour milestone, Chef Maliha encountered a medical emergency, as depicted in a video on her Instagram stories, showing her unconscious on a stretcher attended to by medical personnel.
Despite the setback, she expressed determination that the emergency wouldn't signal the end of the cooking marathon. "I am a conqueror and a marathon runner. Nothing is bringing us down; to the finish line, we go," she wrote.
