During his interaction with journalists at the Police headquarters, Adeniran revealed that he was a novice in the world of crime. He disclosed that he operated with two accomplices who lay in wait along the road to execute the robberies.

Adeniran explained, “Previously, I could complete 15 trips in a day, but the surge in fuel prices severely impacted my business's viability. As a result, I resorted to engaging in robbery.”

In addition, Adeniran disclosed that since his criminal activities commenced last month, he had targeted and robbed three passengers who had hailed his ride. His downfall came when one of his robbery victims spotted him in a shop without a nose mask. The victim promptly raised an alarm, leading to Adeniran's arrest and subsequent detention at Ikotun police station.
