The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri, has addressed reports of Nigerians stranded midway during their evacuation from Sudan.
This follows a cry for help from Nigerian students who claimed they were stranded for hours while leaving the North African country. According to reports, the drivers had stopped the buses in the middle of nowhere due to non-payment for the trip embarked on.
Abike Dabiri took to Twitter to address the issue and confirm that it has been resolved. According to her post, the students are once again on their way out of the war-torn country. She wrote: “I have just spoken to @nemanigeria dg. He confirmed the buses have continued their Journey and said whatever issues have been resolved.”
