Bayern Munich are reportedly eyeing a move for PSG’s Xavi Simons, following his impressive loan spell at RB Leipzig last season.
The 21-year-old Dutch midfielder scored 15 goals and provided ten assists in 43 appearances for Leipzig.
Despite PSG’s interest in loaning Simons out again, several top European clubs are keen on acquiring his services.
According to Sky Germany, Bayern Munich are particularly interested and aim to include a purchase option in the loan deal, valued between €60–€70 million.
However, Simons addressed these claims after the Netherlands’ 0-0 draw with France at Euro 2024.
He stated, “I’m currently with the national team. I’ll make a decision after the European Championship, but right now it’s important to make history with my country.”
Simons' performances at Leipzig have certainly caught the eye of many top clubs. During his loan spell, he showcased his ability to not only score but also create opportunities for his teammates, making him one of the standout players in the league.
His future at PSG remains uncertain as the French club seems open to another loan deal, but with Bayern Munich's interest, a permanent move could also be on the cards. The potential inclusion of a purchase option in the loan deal indicates Bayern's serious intent to secure his services long-term.
Fans and pundits alike are eagerly waiting to see where Simons will play next season, as his decision will undoubtedly impact his career trajectory and the plans of the clubs involved.
For now, Simons remains focused on his national team duties, aiming to help the Netherlands achieve success at Euro 2024. His future club decision will follow, but his current priority is to contribute to his country's footballing history.
