Currently in Germany, Gomez is preparing for England’s opening match against Serbia on June 16.
Despite Bayern's interest, securing Gomez's signature may prove challenging, given that he has a five-year contract with Liverpool, binding him to Anfield until 2027.
Reportedly, new Liverpool manager Arne Slot highly values Gomez and is hesitant to part ways with the 27-year-old.
However, there have been indications that Gomez might be open to a move, as reported by talkSPORT in May, potentially fueling Kompany's hopes in his pursuit of the talented defender.
