Despite Napoli being crowned Serie A champions, they suffered a 2-0 defeat against Monza in the match.

While there are allegations of Osimhen's underwhelming performance in the game, he has been a standout player for Napoli this season and played a crucial role in securing their first Serie A title in 33 years with a goal against Udinese. As a result, he has garnered interest from several top European clubs.

In a report published on Monday, May 15, Il Mattino stated that Chelsea might reconsider their pursuit of signing the Nigerian forward during the summer transfer window based on the scouts' assessment.

However, with Mauricio Pochettino set to take over as the new Chelsea manager, it is unlikely that he will have any reservations about pursuing Osimhen despite the scouts' feedback.

Manchester United is considered the frontrunner in the race to sign the player. Earlier reports indicated that the Red Devils had been in contact with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis regarding a potential transfer for Osimhen, although no deal materialized. Any further moves from Manchester United may depend on the completion of the club's takeover within the designated time frame.

Apart from Chelsea and Manchester United, other clubs such as Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are also keen on securing the services of the Nigerian superstar.
