The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has expressed his admiration for Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume for their outstanding victories at the Diamond League.
Enoh extended his congratulations to the dynamic duo, commending their display of resilience and the indomitable Nigerian spirit on the global stage, which was set in Eugene, Oregon, United States of America.
At the event, Amusan clinched victory in the 100m Women’s Hurdles, achieving a personal record time of 12.33, thereby regaining her Diamond League title. Meanwhile, Brume showcased her extraordinary talent with a remarkable leap of 6.85 meters.
Although Brume narrowly missed securing her inaugural Diamond League title, her unwavering determination ultimately led her to triumph.
In his commendation, Minister Enoh hailed these two exceptional athletes for their unwavering consistency in the realm of athletics, which encompasses prestigious competitions like the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and the Diamond Leagues.
