Roberto Calenda, the agent of Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen, has refuted the claim that Osimhen is refusing to sign a new contract with Napoli. The 24-year-old striker played a vital role in Napoli's successful Serie A campaign last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 games. Despite having two years left on his current contract, Napoli is eager to secure Osimhen's future with a new deal amid interest from top European clubs. In response to the rumors of Osimhen's departure, his agent took to Twitter to dismiss them as fake news. Napoli's President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has also emphasized that the club has no intention of selling Osimhen this summer, setting a high price tag for potential suitors. Napoli has offered to make Osimhen their highest-paid player in an effort to convince him to stay, but other clubs continue to express interest. While Osimhen enjoys his vacation in Lagos after helping Nigeria qualify for the African Cup of Nations, negotiations between Napoli and the player will be crucial in determining his future with the club.
