Riccardo Calafiori is set to join Arsenal after successfully completing his medical in London, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old defender will travel to the USA with his agents to finalize the deal, which will see him sign a five-year contract with the Gunners. Romano confirmed, “Medical done for Riccardo Calafiori who’s set to travel to USA from London together with his agents.”
“Calafiori will sign a five-year deal as new Arsenal player in the US.”
Calafiori, who previously played for Bologna, drew interest from several top European clubs, including Juventus and Chelsea. However, Arsenal managed to secure the deal, agreeing to a fixed €40 million fee with an additional €5 million in add-ons and a future resale clause.
Last season, Calafiori played a key role under coach Thiago Motta, helping Bologna achieve a historic qualification for the Champions League.
