Reece James

The battle for James is expected to intensify during the upcoming summer transfer window, as these top-tier clubs seek to bolster their squads with the versatile talent.

James has faced a series of injury setbacks, which notably led to his absence during a significant portion of the 2022/23 season and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. In the current season, he has once again been sidelined, this time due to a hamstring issue that has persisted for weeks.

Real Madrid views James as a potential solution to fortify their right-back position, offering valuable depth to their defensive lineup. Meanwhile, Manchester City, despite extending Kyle Walker's contract, is keen on recruiting James to enhance their defensive capabilities under the management of Pep Guardiola.

Not to be outdone, Bayern Munich, guided by coach Thomas Tuchel, has also expressed strong interest in securing James. The German club aims to address a void in the right-back position left by Benjamin Pavard's departure to Inter Milan during the recent summer transfer window. James played a pivotal role during Tuchel's tenure at Chelsea, contributing significantly to their triumph in the 2021 Champions League.
