Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Neymar has reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. France's leading sports daily, L'Equipe, announced this on August 13. Neymar, the Brazilian forward, is set to receive a total of 160 million euros ($175 million US) over two seasons from PSG and Al-Hilal. Initially, there were reports of Neymar moving to Barcelona on loan for the 2023-24 season, but journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that no loan deal will occur. Neymar spent six seasons with PSG, achieving five Ligue 1 titles since 2017. He scored 82 goals and assisted on 48 during his time at PSG, contributing to his career total of 150 goals and 83 assists in 235 club matches. Despite earning a significant salary at PSG, Neymar is the second-highest paid player in Ligue 1, trailing behind teammate Kylian Mbappe. Al Hilal pursued Mbappe with a substantial offer but was unsuccessful, while negotiations with Neymar progressed further.

Neymar is hardly on a pittance at PSG. The notorious resident in the Parisian suburb of Bougival, whose mayor described Neymar’s frequent parties as “prodigiously annoying”, earns around £48.6m-per-year, more than £930,000-per-week.
