Manchester United’s new £50 million signing, Manuel Ugarte, will not be available to play in the much-anticipated match against Liverpool this Sunday.
Despite joining from Paris Saint-Germain on Deadline Day, Ugarte was not registered in time to be eligible for this weekend's fixtures. Premier League regulations state that new signings must be registered by 12pm on the Friday before a match in order to participate in that weekend's games.
Unfortunately for United fans, Ugarte's registration paperwork was completed after this deadline, which means he will miss the high-profile clash with Liverpool.

His first chance to appear in a United shirt is now expected to come on September 14, when the team faces Southampton.
