Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, expressed confidence that the club will secure the signing of Harry Kane during this summer transfer window. Discussions took place between the two clubs regarding Kane's potential move to Bayern Munich, although no substantial progress was made between Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy and Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen. However, Bayern remains optimistic about the transfer and believes it will come to fruition.

In an interview with kicker's Georg Holzner, Uli Hoeness revealed that the Tottenham Hotspur striker has made up his mind to join Bayern Munich. He assured fans that as long as Kane keeps his word, they will see him donning the red jersey in the upcoming season. Hoeness emphasized Kane's desire to play in Europe and pointed out that Tottenham will not be competing in European competitions next year, providing the England captain with an opportunity to join a top European club. Hoeness also praised Kane's advisers for their positive involvement in the process, highlighting the reliability of his father and brother in keeping their promises.

While Bayern Munich has been willing to offer £60 million plus add-ons for Kane, who is in the final year of his contract, Tottenham has not accepted any bid for their star goalscorer. Despite this, Tottenham will continue their efforts to convince Kane to sign a lucrative contract extension, fearing that he might leave for another Premier League club if his current deal runs down.

Kane has not ruled out any potential options at this stage and recently joined the Tottenham squad on their preseason tour to Australia. However, Hoeness's comments from Germany have intensified speculation about Kane's potential move to Bayern Munich, leaving Spurs prepared for further attempts to secure his services.

The old patriarch said;

“Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands and if it stays, then we’ll get him.

“He wants to play in Europe and luckily for us Tottenham will not be next year. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe.

“His advisers are also very pleasant in this case. Up to now, the father and the brother have always stood by what they promised. If it stays that way, that’s OK.”

Bayern wanted to pay £60 million plus add-ons for the England captain, who is in the final year of his contract, but Spurs have not accepted any bid for their leading goalscorer.

For their part, Tottenham will continue to try and persuade Kane to sign a lucrative contract extension, but fear he will leave for a Premier League rival should he run down his current deal.

Spurs are willing to offer Kane a new contract, worth around £400,000-a-week and with a post-career plan, to stay at the club but will be braced for further attempts to land him after Hoeness’s comments from Germany.
