Sir Alex Ferguson, along with Prince William and a gathering of English football legends, participated in the mourning at the funeral service of Sir Bobby Charlton on Monday.
The funeral procession, paying homage to one of England's greatest-ever players, passed by Old Trafford before reaching Manchester Cathedral for a memorial service.
Ferguson, accompanied by former United CEO David Gill, shared words about the legendary Charlton.
"He was a fantastic man. I’m here at United because of Bobby Charlton. The day I came, he supported me 100 per cent, all the way. He was totally behind me and everything we tried to do with youth,” Ferguson expressed.
Players, both current and former, paid their respects. Maguire, Shaw, Evans, and Heaton represented the current squad, while former stars Crerand, Stepney, Robson, Scholes, Keane, Schmeichel, and Cole were also in attendance.
