Insiders who spoke to the Daily Mail disclosed that "security staff removed 60 bottles of champagne that had been ordered for the home dressing room" after the demolition job on the current holders. Furthermore, it was revealed that Guardiola has prohibited celebrations until the team wins their first trophy in their pursuit of the Treble.

Club officials clarified that "the champagne had been dispatched in error by hospitality staff" and was actually intended to be placed in the dressing room on Sunday, when City potentially clinches their fifth Premier League title in six years.

It is also believed that Pep Guardiola has promised to treat his players and their families to a celebratory meal and drinks at the end of the season, regardless of whether they win any silverware or not.

On another note, Manchester City has already secured silverware this season as they were crowned winners of the Premier League title following Arsenal's 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, May 20.

Their upcoming targets include the FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley on June 3, followed by the Champions League final against Internazionale Milan in Istanbul a week later.
