Colombian authorities have taken into custody four individuals in connection with the kidnapping of Luis Diaz's father. The charges they face include kidnap and theft.
The arrests follow a thorough police investigation into a criminal group known as ‘The Primates,’ who are accused of surveilling the father of Liverpool star Luis Diaz.
Among the apprehended suspects is Yerdinson Bolivar Bolivar, known by the alias ‘Arenca’ or ‘Areca,’ who was identified as a trainer at Manuel Diaz’s football school.
The remaining three individuals are Marlon Rafael Brito Bolivar, Brayan Javier Morales Sanjuan, and Andrys Alcides Bolivar Bolivar, the latter being described as their leader.
Reports suggest that ‘The Primates’ gang, specialized in drug trafficking, is considered a sub-division of the notorious Gulf Clan.
