As reported by BBC Sport, West Ham's pursuit of Maguire had faced an initial setback when their £20 million bid was turned down by Erik ten Hag's side. However, their revised offer has now received

This impending move for Maguire comes after a period of speculation regarding his future at Old Trafford. His playing time during the 2022-23 Premier League season was limited, featuring in only eight matches. In addition, Maguire was recently relieved of the Manchester United captain's armband, with Bruno Fernandes set to lead the team for the 2023-24 campaign.

Erik ten Hag, the coach of Manchester United, expressed his desire to retain Maguire for at least another season. However, considering the competition for defensive positions, including Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof, Maguire's playing time could remain limited at Old Trafford.

Maguire, at 30 years of age, continues to hold promise in the Premier League, and West Ham manager David Moyes reportedly holds a strong admiration for the experienced defender, who has previously showcased his abilities at Leicester City and Hull City.

Maguire reportedly holds a positive stance on a potential move to West Ham, with contractual negotiations not expected to pose a hindrance. Despite receiving a pay increase as part of his Manchester United contract after the club's qualification for the 2023-24 Champions League, Maguire is seemingly open to this fresh opportunity.

Notably, Maguire was spotted training with Manchester City ahead of their Premier League opener against Wolves on Monday Night Football.

Meanwhile, Manchester United has been proactive in exploring defensive options, including assessing the suitability of Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, as potential reinforcements in the center-back position alongside Maguire and Eric Bailly, whose representatives have engaged in discussions with Al Nassr.

Since his arrival at Old Trafford in 2019 from Leicester City, Maguire has contributed significantly to Manchester United, making 175 appearances across various competitions for the 20-time English champions.
