Chelsea is reportedly exploring the possibility of presenting a deal to Napoli involving Romelu Lukaku, along with €90 million and a young player, as part of a bid to secure the services of Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, who is poised to depart Napoli at the conclusion of the season, has garnered interest from various clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal among the leading contenders.
However, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea, long-time admirers of Osimhen, are willing to go to great lengths to lure the Nigerian star to Stamford Bridge.
The proposed deal includes Lukaku, a move aimed at offsetting the overall cost for Chelsea.
Lukaku, who has expressed his desire to continue playing in Italy following loan spells at Inter Milan and now Roma, is keen on a departure from Chelsea.
The Blues are also seeking to exploit Lukaku’s preference for Italy to facilitate Osimhen’s move to England.
While there are rumors linking the Belgian forward with Saudi clubs, Chelsea is likely to reassess its options if Napoli agrees to the proposed swap deal.
