Chelsea have officially announced the signing of Danish goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen from Spanish La Liga club Villarreal.
Jorgensen joins the Blues on a seven-year contract until 2031 and will link up with his new teammates during their summer tour in the USA.
The 22-year-old made his senior debut for Villarreal B in October 2020 and quickly began training with the first-team squad. He made his first-team debut in December 2021 in a Copa del Rey match, followed by his La Liga debut in January 2023.

Ahead of the 2023/24 season, Jorgensen established himself as Villarreal’s number one goalkeeper. Expressing his happiness about the move, Jorgensen said, “This move is a dream come true. I am very excited to have signed for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and to start playing with all my new teammates.”
