This emphatic win marked the end of Bayern Munich’s 11-year reign at the summit of German football.

The match began nervously for Leverkusen, but they swiftly seized control, as Jonas Hofmann earned a penalty following a foul by Julian Malatini.

Victor Boniface, making his first start since January, confidently converted the spot-kick to hand Leverkusen the lead.

Despite a few half-chances from Bremen, Leverkusen’s defense stood firm, with Amine Adli unlucky not to extend the lead as his effort struck the crossbar.

The second half witnessed Leverkusen unleashing their flair, notably with the introduction of Florian Wirtz.

Granit Xhaka doubled the lead with a breathtaking long-range strike, before Wirtz stole the limelight with a sensational solo effort to make it 3-0.

Wirtz, at just 20 years old, continued to mesmerize, adding a fourth goal in the 83rd minute, nearly prompting a pitch invasion.

He then sealed his hat-trick with the final kick of the game, sealing a memorable night for Leverkusen.

The victory crowns Leverkusen's season-long dominance, clinching their inaugural Bundesliga title in their 119-year history.
