As many subscribers are currently experiencing blocked SIMs from various Nigerian telecommunication companies, here is a detailed guide on how to unblock your SIM cards and restore your connectivity.

These disconnections are a result of the ongoing National Identification Number (NIN)-SIM enrollment exercise, which aims to enhance the verification process for mobile users.

To assist affected customers, telecom companies have provided a step-by-step guide on how to unblock your SIM card as of Monday:

Airtel: Dial *121# from your Airtel line and enter your eleven-digit NIN. You will receive a confirmation message indicating that your Airtel SIM card has been successfully unblocked.
9mobile (formerly EMTS): Dial *200*8# from your 9mobile line and follow the instructions to unblock your SIM.
Glo: Dial *109* followed by your NIN number (e.g., *109*12345678901#) from your Glo line. Follow the prompts to submit your NIN for unblocking.
MTN: Visit the MTN website at nin.mtn.ng (http://nin.mtn.ng) to check your NIN status. If your NIN is not linked, proceed to link it. You will need an OTP and your NIN. Once linked, your MTN line will be automatically unblocked.
Smile: Send your NIN to [email protected] or call 07020444444. After you provide consent and verify your NIN, Smile will proceed to unblock your line.
Spectranet: Call 8002345678 or email [email protected] to submit your NIN. A KYC verification at a Spectranet store is required. Alternatively, you can submit your NIN online but must complete the KYC process at a Spectranet store.
Ntel: Visit any Ntel store with your NIN. Your fingerprint will be used to verify your existing KYC profile. Once verified and with your consent, your Ntel line will be updated and unblocked.

It is important to note that the NCC has mandated all telecommunication companies to unblock all affected SIMs with immediate effect to address the ongoing issues and restore services to users promptly.
