Tinubu sees INEC's Certificate of Return as his 'World Cup' trophy

At the visit to the palace of Rilwan Akinolu, the Oba of Lagos, Nigeria's President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressed his excitement about the certificate of return presented to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He compared the certificate to a "World Cup" trophy, highlighting the significance of the achievement in his career.

Tinubu had been announced as the winner of the presidential election held on February 25, with a total of 8,794,726 votes. His closest rivals, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), secured 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes, respectively. 
During his visit to the monarch's palace, Tinubu promised not to let Nigerians down and assured the monarchs of his commitment to the country's progress. He thanked the monarchs for their support and acknowledged the efforts of his team in securing the victory.
