President Bola Tinubu has officially acknowledged the resignation memo submitted by his spokesman and Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, Ajuri Ngelale. Ngelale's resignation was due to personal and health-related reasons, as detailed in his announcement.

In a statement released by the presidency on Saturday, President Tinubu expressed his understanding and sympathy towards Ngelale’s reasons for stepping down. The President acknowledged the circumstances that led to the decision and extended his heartfelt well-wishes to Ngelale and his family, hoping for a swift recovery and the full restoration of health for any affected family members.

President Tinubu also recognized Ngelale’s significant contributions to the nation, particularly in advancing national dialogue, climate action, and other important initiatives. His efforts in these areas were greatly appreciated by the administration.

“The President wishes him well in all his future endeavours. During this period, we kindly ask that the wish for privacy of Chief Ngelale and his family be respected,” the statement concluded.
