The ongoing clash between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central and Senate President Godswill Akpabio has taken a new and heated dimension as popular social commentator and academic, Prof. Mgbeke, openly waded into the controversy, unleashing a fiery tirade directed at Senator Natasha.
In a strongly-worded post on her verified X (formerly Twitter) account, Prof. Mgbeke branded herself as Senator Natasha’s “terror” and “nightmare,” vowing to continually challenge her influence both within and outside the Nigerian Senate. Her remarks have since stirred widespread reactions across social media, drawing in both supporters and detractors of the two women.
Prof. Mgbeke wrote: “She will never again be granted the stage to parade her madness in the Senate. She is free to join Peter Obi as his running mate because the contract with her sponsors was terminated by me on 1st May 2025. She failed to destroy the ‘YORUBA GOVERNMENT.’”
Natasha’s battle against Akpabio – Mgbeke’s accusations
In her lengthy outburst, Prof. Mgbeke specifically accused Senator Natasha of plotting, but ultimately failing, to unseat Senate President Godswill Akpabio. According to her, Natasha was allegedly backed by sponsors who had tasked her with destabilizing the Senate leadership, a mission she claimed had completely collapsed.
“She failed to topple the very man she was sent to ruin in the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio. She will not be rewarded with the office of Minister of Petroleum and she will not secure the consolation prize of becoming the next Governor of Kogi,” Mgbeke declared, mocking Natasha’s political ambitions.

Dubai cartel betrayal – Mgbeke’s claim
The professor did not stop there. She went further to allege that Natasha had been “jilted by the Dubai cartel” who she claimed once supported her. With that support now withdrawn, Mgbeke alleged Natasha was desperately trying to realign herself politically by seeking relevance through ties with opposition leader Peter Obi.
Prof. Mgbeke warned: “Natasha, know this, I am your terror. I am your nightmare. At least you admitted it yesterday when fear stopped you from saying my name aloud. Your miscreants dragged you into the chaos and chorused the name that haunts your sleep, Professor Sandra Duru, Prof. Mgbeke.”

Her post has ignited heated online debates, with Nigerians split between those supporting Natasha and those applauding Mgbeke’s bold remarks. The feud has now added another layer of drama to the already tense political atmosphere surrounding the Senate leadership and the senator from Kogi Central.
