Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who is the daughter of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has made an appeal to Nigerians to extend their support and prayers to her father so that he can govern the country effectively. She made this appeal during the 28th annual Ramadan Lecture and Special Prayer for the Nation organized by the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN) in Abuja on Saturday. The event, which had the theme of ‘Ramadan: Islam and Good Governance: the Role of Muslims,’ was held at the ADSN Central Mosque in Maitama.
During her speech at the event, Tinubu-Ojo emphasized that the success of her father's presidency is crucial for the well-being of Nigerians. She therefore called on Nigerians to pray and support him to make Nigeria the best for all. According to her, her father cannot do it alone and Nigerians must support him, even after the elections.
Tinubu-Ojo also spoke about the importance of helping the needy in the society. She stated that those at the helm of affairs must help the needy, and those who are not in leadership positions must also help the needy to foster societal and national development.
The appeal by Tinubu-Ojo comes at a crucial time in Nigeria's history, as the country grapples with various challenges, including insecurity, economic downturn, and social unrest. It is hoped that her call for support and prayers for the President-elect will be heeded by Nigerians, and that together, they will work towards building a better Nigeria for all.
