Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a notable figure in the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerians to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu, stating that the president is working diligently to address the economic challenges currently facing the nation.
Oyintiloye expressed his optimism, noting that with time and patience, the difficulties confronting Nigerians would soon ease. He shared these sentiments during an interaction with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo.
The APC chieftain acknowledged the tough times Nigerians are currently enduring but emphasized that President Tinubu is actively working, day and night, to restore the economy to a stable footing.
Oyintiloye also reminded Nigerians that the current economic crisis was not a result of the president’s actions but rather a situation inherited upon his assumption of office.
He stated that while some of the economic policies implemented by the administration may seem stringent, they are designed to set the country on a trajectory toward long-term economic prosperity.
According to Oyintiloye, President Tinubu took office at a time when the nation’s economy was in a steep decline, necessitating significant reforms and the understanding of the populace to navigate through the challenges.
He emphasized that although the president is making progress in addressing the economic issues, he requires the patience, prayers, and continued support of all Nigerians in order to achieve success.
Oyintiloye noted that while the positive impacts of the president’s economic policies are starting to be felt, these improvements are gradual. Nonetheless, he expressed hope that the future holds less severe challenges for Nigerians.
He added that with President Tinubu’s dedication to economic reforms and diversification, the administration is spearheading initiatives aimed at revitalizing key sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, and the marine and blue economy.
“There are several ongoing initiatives designed to enhance the business environment, attract foreign direct investments, and provide support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),” Oyintiloye said.
He concluded by stating, “With just a little more patience, things will improve, and Nigeria will rise again.”
