Tragedy struck in Enugu State as a family of five reportedly lost their lives in a ghastly accident involving a Dangote truck at the popular Four Corner Junction. The heartbreaking incident occurred on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, leaving the community in deep sorrow.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck allegedly lost control before ramming into the family’s vehicle, resulting in the instant death of all occupants. The devastating crash caused panic in the area, as passersby and local residents gathered at the scene to mourn the victims and express their outrage over recurring accidents linked to heavy-duty trucks.

Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop shared photos of the aftermath of the crash on Instagram, sparking emotional reactions from fans, colleagues, and concerned Nigerians who demanded stricter road safety measures. Many expressed frustration over the continuous involvement of Dangote trucks in fatal road accidents across the country.
This latest incident comes just days after another Dangote truck accident gained widespread attention. That crash involved Ruth Otabor, the younger sister of BBNaija winner Phyna, who was hit shortly after her graduation from Auchi Polytechnic. Ruth initially survived but tragically underwent leg amputation due to the severity of her injuries.
Sadly, her battle ended as she passed away on August 31, 2025, a piece of news that was confirmed in an emotional statement shared on Phyna’s official Instagram page. Ruth’s passing sent shockwaves through social media, with many lamenting the frequency of accidents attributed to heavy-duty trucks on Nigerian roads.
The double tragedies have reignited calls for government intervention and urgent reforms in the trucking sector. Nigerians are demanding stricter regulations, better road safety enforcement, and accountability from major transport companies to prevent more families from being torn apart by similar incidents.
