Recently, the Nigerian police paraded three men, claiming they are the individuals behind the notorious Instagram blog, Gistlover. The arrest was made based on a petition filed by Hon and Doctor Mrs. Seye Oladejo, citing charges of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and endangering one’s life.
In a statement released by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, the accused individuals are Adebukola Kolapo Nnedum, Micheal Somtomchukwu, and Isaac Akpokighe. They are allegedly part of the Gistlover family syndicate responsible for the blog's controversial content, including cyberstalking and blackmail.
However, within hours of the supposed arrests, the real Gistlover took to the blog to mock the Nigerian police, claiming that the paraded individuals are not connected to the blog. He challenged the police to provide evidence supporting their claims and threatened legal action against those involved in his arrest.
On his page, Gistlover posted, “@nigeriapoliceforce you guys are a big joke🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, is this how useless and senseless you guys are, big joke and clout 🤣🤣🤣just to prove what?? bring one evidence wey una see say na those boys be gistlover, make una do una mumu finish , ati arrester ooo ati petitioner ooo, all of una na lawsuit Go Jam una this new year, since you all have money to waste for court, let’s fvcking go there , aye yin onida
