Having already served nearly a quarter-century in office, Putin stands as the longest-serving Kremlin leader since Josef Stalin, with his new term extending until 2030, when he will be eligible to run for office again under constitutional provisions.

During the ceremony held at the opulent Grand Kremlin Palace, Putin pledged to uphold the Russian Constitution, emphasizing his commitment in the presence of selected dignitaries.

Addressing the challenges ahead, including the Ukraine conflict, Putin expressed confidence in Russia's resilience. He stated, “We will pass through this difficult period with dignity and become even stronger,” underscoring unity and determination.

Putin reaffirmed his sense of duty to lead Russia, describing it as a "sacred duty" as he embarks on his fifth term, extending his rule of more than two decades. “Serving Russia is a huge honor, responsibility, and sacred duty,” remarked the 71-year-old leader.
