Few days after her podcast episode, Yvonne Jegede pens public apology to Queen May Edochie for her remarks on the show.
Recall that recently, the actress was a participant on the Honest Bunch podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia.
She faced criticisms over her defense of Yul Edochie’s second marriage to Judy.
The actress claims it was not as bad as online users were making it out to be, claiming that many of his critics were children from polygamous families.
After a moment of reflection, the actress realized the errors of her statement and made it clear in an apology letter.
She claimed her words did not articulate her true intentions and she did not mean to be insensitive to May Edochie’s plight.
Apparently, she wanted to highlight important societal issues which were themes present in her new movie and speak on them but it didn’t turn out as desired.
Yvonne said her intention was to state that polygamy is cultural in this part of the world but it should be done right regardless.
