The Muslim community, specifically the Arewa youths, has bestowed a prestigious title and an award upon Nollywood actor and accomplished movie producer, Yul Edochie.
The renowned movie star, who recently relocated to Abuja following his separation from his wife, May Edochie, proudly shared the news via his Instagram platform.
Yul expressed that he had received a delegation from the Northern Youths Consultative Forum at his Abuja office. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to nation-building, youth empowerment, and socioeconomic and political development, they honored him with a notable award and bestowed upon him the title of Garkuwan Martasan Arewa, which translates to "Shield and Protector of Northern Youths and Icon of Nation Building."
In his Instagram post, Yul Edochie shared the following: "A few days ago I received a delegation from the Northern Youths Consultative Forum, in my office in Abuja. They honored me with an award and title: GARKUWAN MARTASAN AREWA. Which means, SHIELD AND PROTECTOR OF NORTHERN YOUTHS AND ICON OF NATION BUILDING. In appreciation of my contribution to nation-building, youth empowerment, socio-economic & political development, astute participation in good governance for the benefit of Humanity and Nigeria."
The recognition and honor reflect his dedication and outstanding efforts in various facets that contribute to the betterment of society.
