According to the committee, Adunni Ade, also known as Adunni Adewale, was reportedly indebted to Murphy Afolabi for the sum of N250,000 prior to his unfortunate demise. Initially, there were reports suggesting that Murphy himself owed money to various individuals.

However, recent revelations have clarified that Murphy Afolabi had actually paid Adunni Ade N150,000 for a job. Consequently, the burial committee appealed to Adunni Ade to return the full N250,000 to support their efforts in providing for Murphy Afolabi's children.

Responding to the public call-out, fellow Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola expressed her frustration on Instagram. She wrote:

"No be only me see shege, Adunni shege wan pass sef, what is this, I am so angry, na death dey cause this kind thing, rest on Murphy.”

As news of Adunni Ade's alleged debt spreads, fans and industry observers have been sharing their opinions and speculations. Adunni Ade herself has yet to respond publicly to the accusations, leaving many curious about her side of the story.
