An Ikorodu-based woman who gained viral fame for vibing to the music of superstar singer, Wizkid, has debunked reports suggesting she received N50M from him.
Identified as @je_ponmoe_gbogboikorodu on the video-sharing platform TikTok, the woman's video of herself singing along to Wizkid’s "Open and Close" track garnered over two million views and spread across social media platforms, attracting the attention of Wizkid fans.
Responding to speculations about receiving N50M from the singer, she revealed that her DMs have been inundated since the rumor surfaced.
Clarifying the reports, she emphasized that Wizkid did not send her money but used the opportunity to appeal for financial support from the singer.
“Help me! People have been bothering me that Wizkid gave me N50M; help me! I have over 50 account numbers in my DM. I don’t have anything o, help me. Some have even named me Mama Wizkid. I did not receive any money,” she said in Yoruba.
