Famous Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, is facing a significant loss as his mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, has passed away. Mrs. Balogun passed away on the night of Friday, August 18th, 2023, around 1 a.m. in her residence.
Mr. Sunday Are, Wizkid's longtime manager, confirmed the sad news to The Punch through a phone conversation, stating, "Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am."
Wizkid's mother is survived by her husband and two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun. As news of her passing spreads, fans and well-wishers are expressing their condolences to the singer and his family through various social media platforms.
