Nigerian rapper, Phenom, recently opened up about a surprising chapter in his career, shedding light on his decision to turn down an enticing offer from Olamide and even a remarkable opportunity from Wizkid to join Starboy Entertainment.

In a recent episode of the Terms and Conditions podcast, Phenom shared the intriguing revelation that has left netizens in awe of his loyalty and his career journey.

According to the rapper, during the peak of his career, both Olamide and Wizkid, along with other top singers, expressed their desire to collaborate with him. In the case of Wizkid, he even extended an offer for Phenom to join his prestigious record label, Starboy Entertainment.

Phenom went on to reveal that he had some incredible offers on the table, including a staggering 100 million Naira deal and a brand new G-wagon. These opportunities were undoubtedly tempting, but his unwavering loyalty to his then-label, Knight House, played a crucial role in influencing his decision.

In his own words, Phenom shared the story: "He (Wizkid) approached me at some point. We had this great chemistry. He said he wanted me on his team. He said he wanted him and me to work on my album. But I was with a label. I’m that loyal. And I remember I asked my mum, that’s what’s on the ground, and my mum was like, 'No. You signed with these people, finish your contract with them.' That was what it was, man."

"Even Wizkid’s deal was not as pleasant as many others that I don’t know. Me and Olamide had a conversation as well. But a lot of other guys approached me too. I had a deal of N100 million with a G-wagon at some point. I had the crazy deals," Phenom continued, revealing the impressive offers he had at the time.

Looking back, Phenom acknowledges that his loyalty and the contract he had with Knight House played a significant role in his decision-making. However, he also mentioned a touch of regret, particularly regarding the offer from Wizkid, stating, "The only regret I do have was the fact that I was under fast life at that time, so I could have crashed. So, I see it as a blessing as well because I don’t know what would have happened. But when I look at it, I’m like, 'Damn! I should have taken that Wizkid’s deal.'"

Phenom's story serves as a reminder of the tough decisions artists often face in their careers and the importance of loyalty and commitment in the music industry.
