Famous Nigerian singer, Anthony Victor, who goes by the stage name Victony, recently revealed that he was involved in a ghastly accident in 2021 that left him in a coma for three to four days. He shared his experience during a recent episode of the Tea with Tay podcast, where he opened up about the traumatic journey he has been through.
According to Victony, the accident claimed one life and left three people injured, including himself. As a result, he was wheelchair-bound for approximately one year. The accident occurred after he had left a club and was on his way back home. He fell asleep in the car and when he woke up, he was in the hospital with his father by his side. His parents did not even know he was in Lagos at the time, so he was surprised to see his father there.
Victony stated that he had no idea what had happened until his father explained to him that he had been in a coma for several days. He was shocked and confused about the situation but soon realized the extent of his injuries. He broke both his legs in the accident, which left him bedridden for months. During the podcast interview, Victony explained that he heard the impact came from the back of the car, and that the driver and the person in the front passenger seat were fine. However, the person seated next to him at the back passed away due to the impact of the accident.
The accident has been a life-changing experience for Victony, who is grateful to be alive but also deeply affected by the loss of his friend. He revealed that he is still undergoing physiotherapy and is not yet able to stand on his own two feet. However, he remains positive and is determined to overcome the challenges he faces.
