An American individual identified as Washington DC Chef has raised serious allegations against Nigerian media personality, Uti Nwachukwu. The American man accuses Uti of engaging in impersonation on Instagram to carry out fraudulent activities, specifically targeting people for gift card scams.
The accuser took to Twitter to share his grievances, claiming that Uti allegedly created a fake Instagram account using his name and shared several of his photos. This imposter account was purportedly used by Uti to request gift cards from unsuspecting individuals. According to Washington DC Chef, he confronted Uti through a video call on Instagram, and Uti answered the call.
Sharing the incident on Twitter, Washington DC Chef expressed his frustration, stating, “This bastard made a fake IG page with many of my photos. He began requesting my friends as well. He then had the audacity to start begging them for money on Google Play gift cards. Someone sent me the page. I called him on IG, and he answered….”
