Wizkid’s close associate, Tufab, has taken to social media to raise serious concerns, accusing the popular Afrobeats superstar, Davido, of issuing threats against his life. The shocking revelation has sparked conversations online, as Tufab shared what he described as proof in the form of an alleged chat between himself and the award-winning singer.
According to Tufab, the altercation began when Davido confronted him for allegedly calling him a name he strongly disliked. The music star reportedly warned him never to address him as “Osakpolo,” insisting that the name does not belong to him. Tufab, however, maintained his innocence, clarifying that he never called Davido such a name and urged the singer to stop issuing unwarranted threats against him.
The associate further explained that he has no ties whatsoever to any cult or fraternity, countering circulating claims on social media. He went on to stress that if any harm befalls him, the public should hold Davido accountable for it. Tufab also emphasized that he is a man of faith, declaring himself an “army of God and chosen one of Christ,” while citing Psalm 91:2 as his source of protection and strength.
In his lengthy post on X, Tufab wrote in part: “MY LIFE IS IN DANGER. I’M BEING THREATENED! If you talk you go kpai, if you no talk you go still kpai. I’ve kept quiet long enough, but now I must set the record straight… This is not the first time; the threats have become too frequent. I don’t know what game he’s talking about, but I’ve seen these things play out in real life and in movies. If anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible.”
He went on to address those claiming his screenshots were edited, stating that he had no reason to falsify evidence that could endanger his own life. “So I would come online out of the blues, for no damn reason, to edit stuffs knowing fully well the consequences of such? Lol. Una want make I begin dey screen record all the threats from last year and other convos? I still dey even look out for him by keeping some things private,” he wrote, adding that Davido tends to take jokes and banter too personally.
Tufab concluded his statement by stressing that his intention was not to create unnecessary drama, but simply to debunk claims of cult association and to protect himself. “Otherwise, I for still lock up as I’ve always done,” he said, maintaining that those close to him are aware that this is not the first time such incidents have occurred.
