Renowned business magnate, Tony Elumelu, has categorically refuted claims suggesting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is contemplating appointing him as the next Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
This denial came as a response to a tweet by a user named Imran Muhammad, who had asserted that President Tinubu was considering Tony Elumelu for the position of CBN Governor.
The tweet from Imran Muhammad read, "According to a Source President Tinubu is also considering Tony O. Elumelu as CBN Governor."
In response, Tony Elumelu swiftly dispelled this rumor, stating, "LOL. No, please. This is false news! 🙏🏾"
