Famous actress Tonto Dikeh is facing the risk of a jail term as she has been invited by the police to address multiple alleged crimes, including defamation, forgery, and other charges.
Photos of the police invitation letter have circulated widely on the internet following reports by various news outlets.
The letter reveals that the actress and politician is being charged with a range of crimes, including cyberbullying, defamation, forgery, falsehood, and criminal conversion. These charges were reported to the police for investigation.
Tonto Dikeh has been requested to provide further details regarding the allegations against her. The letter states:
“This office is investigating a case of Criminal Defamation, Forgery, Falsehood, Cyberbullying, and Criminal Conversion reported to the Inspector General of Police, in which your name and others featured prominently.
2. In view of the above, you are kindly requested to interview the undersigned through Sp. Amin Abdullahi Sokoto on 7′ August, 2024 by 10:00hrs, to shed more light on the allegation.
Your usual cooperation in this regard would be highly appreciated, please.”
At the time of writing, the veteran actress has yet to make any public statement regarding the allegations.
