A crew member has officially confirmed the unfortunate passing of Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, following a tragic boat mishap in Asaba.
The news of his demise sent shockwaves across social media platforms, as reports emerged that he drowned along with three others.
Initially, there was a glimmer of hope after the AGN President, Emeka Rollas, in a now-deleted Instagram post, confirmed Junior Pope to be alive.
However, Stanley Ontop, a member of the late actor's crew, revealed during an Instagram live session that Junior Pope, despite briefly being revived, faced challenges due to the lack of oxygen supply at the hospital he was rushed to.
Tragically, despite efforts to save him, Junior Pope was declared dead by medical personnel at the hospital.
Confirming the actor's passing, Stanley Ontop wrote on Instagram, "JNR Pope is finally gone."
