Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Tega Dominic, has responded to a statement made by her fellow contestant, Tacha, regarding body-shaming directed at Monalisa Stephen.
In a recent incident, Tacha criticized Monalisa Stephen for an offensive remark. This followed Monalisa's interview with Pulse, where she stated that Tacha's fame was owed to the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, implying that without it, Tacha might have resorted to less dignified means of earning money, like twerking online.
Monalisa asserted, “Tacha is a very confident woman, she knows what she is doing.
“Something made you. Without BBN, she would still be there twerking her ass for some change. They made her, so it’s okay for you to respect that. BBN made Tacha.”
In response to Monalisa's comments, Tacha expressed her displeasure on Instagram. She questioned why Monalisa didn't appreciate the platform that had given her a chance to rise. Tacha emphasized her gratitude for the Big Brother Naija platform and criticized the notion that she'd otherwise be doing menial work.
Tega weighed in on the situation, commenting on a popular blog post that it's unrealistic to provoke someone and expect a calm reaction. She said, “Everyone talking about her reaction to action, how about the action. You can’t spit on her face and expect a solemn reaction.”
