Opeyemi, through his Instagram post, offered advice to men, cautioning that even if they provide well for their children, it doesn't guarantee reciprocation in old age. He indirectly referenced the late Mohbad, who passed away a few months ago under suspicious circumstances, highlighting how the late artist reunited with his mother after a decade of abandonment, and how his father shouldered blame for his death.

Mohbad’s Father

"(message to Men) That u took care of your child doesn’t mean ur child would take care of u. Take care of yourself first abeg. (this man na case study ooo)," he wrote.

However, Opeyemi's statement received criticism for being insensitive and unwarranted, with many questioning the characterization of Mohbad's father's responsibility to his family.
