Spyro talks about the inspiration behind his hit song 'Who's Your Guy'

Fast-rising Nigerian musician, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, stage name Spyro, has opened up about the inspiration behind his hit track, "Who's Your Guy". In an interview with Punch, the singer revealed that he seeks God's direction before releasing his songs. Spyro believes that there is a spiritual and physical part to everything and he takes the spiritual aspect of his music seriously. He said, "I usually go into God's presence to seek His face, His blessings and directions, days before releasing any song. I don't do anything without first enquiring from God. I am of the opinion that there is a physical part to things, and also a spiritual part; so I make sure I take that spiritual part seriously. One needs someone working behind the scenes for one."

Regarding the remix of his popular song, Spyro disclosed that it was Tunde Ednut, an Instagram blogger, who reached out to him to take the song to another level. They went through a couple of names before agreeing on Tiwa Savage for the remix. Spyro stated that he chose Tiwa because he believed she would bring as much value to the song as he thought and she did. Talking about the inspiration behind "Who's Your Guy", Spyro said it was originally a love song that he recorded as a freestyle in 2021. However, when he wanted to release it in 2022, he decided to revamp it and make it more relatable to as many people as possible.
