High-profile rapper, Naira Marley, faces criticism from music producer and blogger Samklef for dropping a new song amid lingering controversies surrounding the tragic passing of singer Mohbad.
Naira Marley, the Marlian Music boss, had previously been detained by the police, alongside his friend Sam Larry, over their alleged connection to Mohbad's demise. However, no concrete evidence linking them to the incident emerged, and both were subsequently released from police custody.
The rapper, undeterred by the unresolved issues, recently released a new song, drawing widespread criticism.
Expressing his discontent, Samklef took to his Twitter page to chastise Naira Marley, accusing him of rushing to drop a new track when the dust from the previous incident hasn't settled. He described the rapper's latest song as mere noise and placed blame on the country's flawed justice system for such actions.
“Dem never bury Mohbad. Investigation still dey on; you run go drop music wey be like noise for my ear. I no blame you; na the justice system wey no get head I blame. If to say Naija na country, you for get mind drop any jam for now? Last time I checked, Naija na jungle sha. Enjoy o!,” Samklef wrote in his post.
