Skales, a Nigerian musician, has revealed that fellow artist Olamide rescued him financially after he left Empire Mates Entertainment (EME).

Skales said in a recent interview that he was broke and homeless after EME refused to renew his contract. Olamide called him and asked if he wasn't going to shoot a video for his song "Shake Body." Skales replied that he was broke and homeless, and Olamide sent him money for the video shoot. After that video shoot, the song became a success, and Skales said that God turned his life around.
“Olamide contacted me and said he loved one of my songs, Shake Body, and asked if I wasn’t going to shoot the video. I told him I was homeless and couldn’t possibly shoot a video and he sent me money. My God turned my life around after that video shoot”
