Nigerian singer, Simi, has shared a humorous anecdote about the nickname her husband, Adekunle Gold, affectionately calls her by at home, while offering advice against marrying one's best friend.
In a video, the mother of one, who has recently taken to wearing glasses, captured the moment her husband referred to her as ‘Ojiugo’.
From a Yoruba perspective, AG Baby playfully teased her about her new choice of stylish medicated glasses worn at home.
Simi's response included a tongue-in-cheek warning to not marry a friend, as she believes only a friend would exhibit such casual behavior and disrespect after marriage.
In her own words:
“I know you people are always saying marry your friend but the thing is that only your friend will disrespect you like this. So if you want respect and someone that keeps you on that pedestal, marry your fan.”
