Renowned singer Seun Kuti has made a shocking revelation, asserting that the Nigerian Police play a complicit role in major kidnapping operations across the country.
In a viral video, Kuti shared his discovery, recounting an incident where he was detained in cell one, typically reserved for severe criminals, instead of cell two where celebrities are usually held.
According to Kuti, during his time in cell one, he learned that the Nigerian Police are actively involved as leaders in various kidnapping organizations across Nigeria.
The Grammy-nominated musician went on to claim that the police have been responsible for the majority of abductions in the country, defining kidnapping as the act of being seized against one's will and demanding ransom for release.
Support for Seun Kuti's assertion surfaced on social media, with Switchild recounting a case where the police advised paying the ransom for a kidnapped individual, Festus Humble claiming that the police use their uniform to orchestrate operations for kidnappers, and Dr COS acknowledging the truth in Kuti's statements, highlighting the pervasive corruption within institutions.
