Sanwo-Olu acknowledges the unfortunate death of Mohbad

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has issued his response to the tragic and mysterious passing of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Imole Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, which occurred last Tuesday, September 12th, as reported by Gistreel.

Since the untimely death of Mohbad, many have sought answers and justice, as the cause of his demise remains shrouded in mystery.

The situation has led to increased scrutiny and controversy surrounding his former music boss, Naira Marley, in the wake of this tragic event.

Governor Sanwo-Olu took to Instagram to address this somber situation, posting photos of the late Mohbad, stating, "I would like to assure everyone that I am not oblivious to the sad passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Imole Aloba (Mohbad). We have been closely working behind the scenes with relevant authorities, and following keenly the ongoing investigations.

“However, in order to boost the investigations, I have invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation and widen the dragnet with inter-agency collaboration and use of best in class technology to unearth the truth.

“I have instructed that all those who may have played any role whatsoever in any event leading to the death of MohBad be made to face the law after a thorough investigation.

“I hereby plead with all those who may have vital information that may assist the investigation process to avail the investigating team with such. I have also appealed to the investigating team to guarantee the confidentiality and protection of all witnesses who may come forward with vital information or indicative evidence that may assist the process.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu has urged the Police and the DSS to provide periodic updates on their efforts to the public.

Furthermore, he appealed to friends and fans of the departed artist to remain calm, avoid making inflammatory statements, and allow the investigative process to unfold. He believes that this is the most respectful way to honor the memory of the late Mohbad.

The governor also extended his condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and fans of Mohbad around the world.
